Steve Stevens has donated his Eastwood GP guitar to be auctioned for the Benefit for Tony.
This beautiful guitar has lived in Steve’s studio, “The Purple Room” in West Hollywood, CA, for many years, and has been used to record on various tracks.
The guitar is modeled after the Ovation Ultra GP, and the body resembles a Les Paul but with a double cutaway. The body is solid mahogany with a maple top, and the neck is mahogany with a rosewood board. The pickups are dual humbuckers modeled after vintage DiMarzio SUPER 2’s.
Steve Stevens is one of the most original guitarists to emerge from the ’80s rock scene, best known for his 30 year partnership with Billy Idol, his work on Michael Jackson’s “Dirty Diana,” his Grammy Award winning performance on “Top Gun Anthem” and his work with Vince Neil on “Exposed.” Stevens’ catalog of hit songs that he co-wrote & performed alongside Idol include “Rebel Yell,” “Eyes Without A Face” and “Flesh for Fantasy.”
Steve has autographed the guitar on the electronics backplate. Included in the case are some of Steve’s personal guitar picks.
