Steve Vai has donated his Ibanez Jem77B RMR guitar which he has christened “T-Mac.”
The mirror-fronted Jem model was first released in 2005 to coincide with Steve’s “Real Illusions: Reflections” album and tour. Tony MacAlpine was part of “The Breed” during this time, and the Jem77 BRMR model typifies the era.
This guitar is designated #48 in Steve’s collection. It has lived safely in his home studio for the last 10 years, soaking in the resonance of the Harmony Hut, and the millions of notes passing through.
Steve has signed the back of the headstock. The guitar comes in an Ibanez UV1000 case, and includes a DiMarzio Cliplock strap.
This item will be auctioned live at the Benefit Concert for Tony MacAlpine on December 12.
