Vinnie Moore has donated his Dean VMS Mind’s Eye guitar to be auctioned for the Benefit for Tony. The guitar’s body features art inspired by Mind’s Eye – Vinnie’s stunning debut album with Shrapnel Records in 1986 (with Tony MacAlpine on keyboards!)
The body is alder, with a bolt-on maple neck. The fingerboard is rosewood and the 12th fret is marked with a pearl “VM Eye” inlay. Special DMT design pickups in an HSS configuration provide plenty of powerful sonic options to explore. Elegant black hardware includes precision Grover tuners and a Floyd Rose 1000 bridge.
Vinnie will sign the backplates for the winning bidder of this guitar!
Vinnie Moore is one of the most influential and important guitarists to emerge from the virtuoso boom in the mid to late eighties. In a 2009 article by Guitar World magazine, his album Mind’s Eye was ranked 3rd on their Top 10 Shred Guitar albums of all time.
